The Festive Friends Trio

Hello lovely people!

I hope you are all starting to feel that little sparkle of magic in the air. The nights are drawing in, the frost is settling on the windows, and here in the studio, I’ve been feeling decidedly festive!

I wanted to hop on here and share a little bit of the story behind my latest creation—the "Festive Friends Trio."

Finding the Fun in Christmas

When I sat down to design these, I had a very specific feeling in mind. Christmas can be such a grand, busy time, can’t it? But for me, the real joy often comes in the smallest things. The robin bobbing about in the garden, the quiet glow of a fairy light, or finding a tiny surprise tucked into a stocking.

I wanted to create something that captured exactly that. I wasn't trying to make a huge, serious statement piece. My inspiration was simply to make something fun. I wanted them to be small, cute, and full of character—the kind of decoration that makes you smile involuntarily every time you walk past it.

A Labour of Love (and tiny pieces of glass!)

If you know me, you know I take such pride in getting the details just right.

For the little Father Christmas faces, I spent ages choosing the perfect opaque white glass for their beards so they looked soft and snowy against the deep red hats. And for the robin? Well, he just had to have that warm, amber wing to catch the winter sun.

Because they are smaller, they are actually quite fiddly to make! Each little curve needs to be cut and foiled with patience. But honestly? I loved every minute of bringing them to life. Seeing them all lined up on my workbench, looking back at me with their cheeky little personalities, was such a joy.

A Little Sparkle for Your Home

These little ones were designed to fit anywhere. They are small enough to hang on a sturdy branch of your tree without weighing it down, but bright enough to sit on a windowsill and light up the room on a crisp December morning.

I hope they bring as much fun and warmth into your home as I had making them in my studio.

Wishing you all a cosy, creative, and peaceful festive season.
