Handcrafted with heart, unique to you
Welcome to Pinchbeck Glass Studio. I’m Dawn, the artist, maker, and glass-enthusiast behind every piece you see here.
Based here in South Lincolnshire, my studio is a place where light, colour, and traditional craftsmanship come together to create something truly special for you and your home. But this business didn’t start with a grand business plan—it actually started with a huge clumsy cat and a bit of bad luck!
The Accident that Sparked a Passion
A few years ago my Maine-Coon, Tiny, decided that a beautifully planted glass terrarium on the shelf was in his way. With one swift shunt of his fluffy bottom, it was on the floor, shattered.
I wanted an old fashioned heavy duty terrarium to replace it (and make it cat proof), preferably with beautiful glass but I was shocked by the prices. Finding a high-quality replacement for "sensible money" seemed impossible. Determined not to be defeated (and missing my terrarium), I decided to make one myself.
That decision changed everything. As I learned to cut the glass, foil the edges, and solder the pieces together, I didn't just fix a problem—I fell in love with the process. I discovered a passion for the way textures and colour in glass can transform a simple design into a piece of living art.
From My Studio to Your Home
Fast forward to today, and that initial spark has grown into Pinchbeck Glass Studio and I create works using both Tiffany method and traditional leadwork.
I realised that beautiful, bespoke design shouldn't be out of reach. My goal now is to turn my passion for glass into a way of giving back to those who share my love for design. I want to create pieces that feel personal, accessible, and full of character.
Every sun-catcher, ornament, panel and decoration is:
- Designed by hand: No mass production, just
genuine creativity. - Individually crafted: Every glass choice, cut and
solder line is done by me, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. - Made with passion: I pour the same care into your
order as I did that very first project.
